the good peeps at motion auto show hollered about holding a ruckus competition at their event in long beach and asked if we’d help out so we’re working with the crazy bippu specialists at autofashion to bring this together. normal registration is 10 bucks but both AF and BOWLS are chipping in a few duckets to cut the registration in half which brings it down to a low low 5 smackeroos. that’s really not much to ask considering all the tits and ass that will be there not to mention what a normal ticket just to get into this event will cost. oh yeah, i think there might be some of those cages with 4 wheels there too.

one of our good buds, who also happens to own and manage a rally team, asked us to help him build out a pit bike for all the outdoor action he sees during the race season. we normally slam these things on the ground but went completely opposite on this build raising her as high as we could to accommodate enough ground clearance for the trails he rides.

eric over at ADF in whitter helped us design and fabricate a center mount shock design that tucks neatly under the seat. it’s completely adjustable allowing the bike to be raised or lowered with a few turns of a wrench…

Ever since AutoFashion has been bitten by the Ruck bug they’ve been churning out some pretty sick builds. One in particular is this HKS inspired bike with an actual SSR wheel in the back and signature HKS splash graphics. Here are a few behind the scenes snaps Freddie sent over as the build was commencing.

Knowing Freddie & Co. as well as we do, they are probably far from done with this build. Check them out if you’re ever in SD and tell em the knuckleheads from BOWLS sent ya over.

This build looks like the mini version of this Yammy I saw a few years back while visiting the HKS Technical Factory in Japan…

this past sunday we attended the rebuilding japan from la charity car show at the nishi hongwanji temple with the good folks from Standard Functions. all proceeds raised went to help japan. shout out to Ron and Josh for making this happen and for the STDF crew for riding out.

This bike was imported from Japan for the 2009 SEMA show where it was reassembled by Sekizawa-san of Tokyo Parts.

Troy from Five Axis invited us to come out and display at the Revue show last weekend. Great weather, Kogi tacos, and good times were had by all.
